Red Hot Paint Project

Cheryl created this stunning treasure with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Emperor's Silk Red.

She found this piece at a garage sale for under $30. It began life as a plain wood chest before she transformed it into the beauty it is now.

Here is the work in progress. She added Mackenzie-Child's Courtly Check tissue paper in the recessed areas on the sides and front. Awesome idea!

I love the mixture of different hardware: black pulls on the top drawer and decorative knobs below. Dark wax finishes the piece with a vintage patina. We are definitely in love with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. More postings about future projects to come!
