Recycled Dog Bed

I was born in England (I'm an Air Force 'brat') and was so excited when I found this British Flag dog bed. I assumed my 3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels would equally love a bed with the flag of their heritage, since they are a British breed.

Well, they loved it alright! So much so that they chewed the guts right out of it!

I couldn't bear to throw it away, so I cut off the worst side and mounted the salvaged side on a piece of board.

My trusty staple gun to the rescue again. Every DIYer must have a staple gun. Mine is so old school that it is rusty in spots.

Even with the chewed corners, I love the look.

I hung it above my computer so I can see it everyday. Coincidentally it hangs next to my clock labeled "Hampton London." A whole British theme going on there!
